First Look… Yay or Nay?

Weddings

Many brides dream of their groom’s expression when he sees her for the first time in her wedding dress. More recently, First Look Photo Sessions have been a major topic of debate for the bride & groom, family & friends and even vendors. Some couples will not consider a First Look because of tradition, while others have stated that it was the best decision they made on their wedding day. There are benefits such as capturing the couple at prime time, not missing out on cocktail hour (yes, the bride & groom can actually enjoy cocktail hour with the guests) or having more time after the ceremony for photos with family & friends.

Last month, Lamide and Segun decided to go the non-traditional route by having a First Look Photo Session at the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC. The Willard’s imperial ambiance was the perfect setting for the couple’s personality. As Segun waited patiently with his groomsmen for his bride, Lamide was escorted by her bridesmaids to meet her groom. We will never forget the expression on Segun’s face when he first laid eyes on his flawless bride. The session lasted a few minutes, but the memories will last a lifetime.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Oke!!!! We can’t wait for the professional pictures; the picture below was taken with an S4.

I say yay. It really helps with getting the couple ready to stand before family and friends to say their vows when they’ve had time to see each other and take it all in. Thanks MP for featuring us!
